Founder of the Sodalitium invited by the Pope to Synod of Bishops at the Vatican
Rome, 06/09/08 .- Pope Benedict XVI invited the Founder and Superior General of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae, Luis Fernando Figari, as "auditor" to the XII Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, which will take place this October in the Vatican. The meeting will be held from the 5th to the 26th of October, and will be reflecting on the theme "The Word of God in the life and mission of the Church".
On this occasion there are only 37 auditors, among priests and laymen, who have been invited on the basis of their personal excellence and their status in relation to the subject matter. The active presence of the auditor emphasizes the occasion and the faith of each one of them as a member of the Church and the role they plays in the Church's mission. The auditors, like the Bishops attending the Synod, participate in plenary sessions and groups to deepen on the subject for discussion.
